Happy 2013 & Things that made me smile...

I hope it's not too late to wish all of you Happy 2013.

Life has been a bit static lately & writer's block has been frequent... Need to do something about this ya... hmmm...

Anyway, my first entry this year is...

Random things that made me smile lately...

1. Early morning last week, around 7.15 am, in KL... a car broke down in the middle of the road... The driver was struggling to move his car to the roadside... a few motorists stopped and helped him. It's nice to see that in the middle of their busy lives & while rushing to go to office, they still found the time & a heart to help others in need. That was one of the moments that made me so proud of my ordinary countrymen :) and made me smile.

2. While listening to Nasional FM...  there was an advertisement about BR1M which I assumed at first was a 'kiss a**' advertisement (mind my language... heheheee...) but, I was so wrong. Listening to the rest of it, it's actually an advertisement to remind us that although BR1M was given by our government, lets not forget that it's actually from Allah and... when the person said, 'dewan BR1M penuh, tapi masjid nak dapat satu saf pun susah' (something like that... I don't remember the line exactly), it was really 'in my face'... and made me smile... an embarassed smile that is... erkkk...

So, the lesson is... do not forget to be grateful to Allah. Everything is from Him...

3. When I turned on my radio last Saturday, I heard this song for the first time... and it made me smile. So, I wanna share the song with you guys... Enjoy!

My favourite line is...
     Hidup mewah tanpa berhutang
     Hati bersih tak lupa sembahyang

Happy 2013 you guys! I wish you all the best that life can give to you!

Willkommen 2011

Almost at the end of the 2nd day of 2011. Has anybody started with their 2011 resolution yet?

Me? Nope... not yet! I mean how can I start with new resolutions when I haven't completed the old ones???

So, my 2011 resolutions is to achieve all my past years resolutions. I have a few of those... and a couple of new ones.

2011 is going to be a busy year for me and I'm already off to a slow start. But, I'm quite confident that things are going to pick up in the middle of the year. Praying hard :)

Let us focus on achieving those resolutions and dreams of ours... Let's make them all come true and let's make 2011 a successful year!

HAPPY 2011 Y'ALL!

Salam Maal Hijrah 1432

Feels like faster than a blink of an eye... it's new year again... Soon after, we'll celebrate another new year.

The life of a muslim... We have two new years to celebrate but none will mean anything if every year is the same and the next year is no better than the last.

So, it's now time to gear up ourselves with those resolutions again... old, new, carry forward... anything! Lets set at least a target and work for it ok!

And... don't forget the new year's doa... before and after!

I wish everyone a successful and blessed 1432H!

Salam Maal Hijrah!

Eid Mubarak 1431H

It's Eidul Fitri today... a day of celebration... yummy foods, thirst quenching drinks, sweet sweet cookies (lots of them), fashion show day, happy day... got to meet relatives and friends that we hardly meet throughout the year... heheheeeee...

Today is going to be my very busy day!

However, my post today will be dedicated to both of my very good friends... Ipin & Dr. W... who lost their beloved sisters during Ramadhan.

Ipin's sister passed away on Friday, 1st week of Ramadhan...
Dr. W's sister passed away, just yesterday...

I can't imagine how they are feeling right now... losing a dearly beloved is never easy...

I'm not very good at expressing condolences... because I know there is nothing I can say to ease their sadness... plus, I know my friends... both Ipin & Dr. W are two people with deep faith... so I know they'll be ok... it might take a while for the sadness to go away, but they'll be ok.

To Ipin & Dr. W... La Tahzan. Innallaha ma'ana. Sama- samalah kita berdoa semoga roh mereka ditempatkan bersama orang- orang yang beriman dan sentiasa dibawah peliharaan & kasih sayang Allah. Al- Fatihah.

To all my dear friends & acquaintances & fellow Muslims... Happy Eidul Fitri! But, in the midst of celebration, please don't forget to pray for others that are not so lucky... I'm really sad about the flood victims in Pakistan. I hope the little donations that we passed to them will worth every cent and that they will have the patience & strength to get through this challenge.

Happy Eidul Fitri everyone! Please don't overly celebrate this day... go easy on the foods *wink*

SELAMAT HARI RAYA AIDILFITRI! MAAF ZAHIR BATIN!

A closing & An Opening...

If time was a character in X-men, I think it will be QuickSilver as 2009 swoooooshed by me so amazingly fast. It feels like only a few months ago since I wrote 'Happy 2009 y'all'...

Half of 2009 was a very busy period in my work life and I didn't really balanced my life & work fairly. In the case of 2009, work won. The things I did in 2009, the result can only be seen in 2010. I'm hoping I'll manage to make them all a reality. I'm praying hard...

Anyway, some notes on 2009... nothing important, just me mumbling away :)

Best movie of 2009: My vote --> STAR TREK. Followed closely by AVATAR. By the way, have you watched AVATAR? Amazing... great effects, beautiful imaginary planet... and as always, Sam Worthington is so yummy... hahahaaaaa...

Best tv series of 2009: CRIMINAL MINDS. I love this series because it feels like the FBI team make the case personal, as if the crime happened to themselves. Plus, I feel like I can be a part of that team... hehehee... me & my tv life :P Then, I also enjoy NAVY:NCIS because the team is so cool. But, ever since Special Agent Caitlin Todd & Special Agent Paula Cassidy no longer in the series, I don't eagerly wait for this show anymore... and then, MERLIN. A light story and perfect for Sunday night. The story is funny, heartwarming, sweet, sometimes romantic and the prince is a prince... plus, it always has a happy ending and good will always overcome evil. This is what I like about this series. It gives out hopes :)

What I didn't write about when it happened but wanted to, was about the marriage of an 'Islamic' couple, both in entertainment industry. I shouldn't care and I normally didn't care whenever it comes to what those entertainers do in their private lives. But these two, are 'Islamic' and I'm pretty sure they still are... If you asked me, is it wrong that they got married to each other? I would say, no. But, what is wrong were the things that happened in the process. The 'ustaz' didn't behave like an ustaz and he certainly didn't act like one. Why does this pissed me off? Because this top the list of what is wrong in our society right now. If an 'Islamic' person behave 'UnIslamic', what can we expect from muslims that are unIslamic? This is very, very disappointing.

The last saddest thing happened almost at the end of 2009, was the accident of a passenger express bus, that claimed 10 lives. It was very very sad indeed. I feel the sadness of the victims' family... The lost of beloved children, parents, fiance... so heartbreaking... But, somehow I also feel the sadness of the bus driver. If the bus driver was on drugs or he usually was a wreckless driver or anything, I wouldn't pity him. But, because he was sleepy and his eyes were shut for one or two seconds... I couldn't imagine the guilt he feels... thus, I find it hard to blame him 100%.

We're all drivers too, right? We know, driving long distance at night is not easy. Especially in Perak where at certain point, the road is hilly & curvy. Plus, highways in our country can be very dark for a long stretch at one time. When it is dark, it is easier to be sleepy. All this time, government has come out with law & guidelines for express bus operators in order to reduce fatal accidents. All involves bus drivers & maintainence of the vehicles. I think this time, we should also look at the conditions of our highways. Putting up additional street lights would be a good start. This is just an opinion from one, tiny (not so 'tiny') person... but, no harm looking into this suggestion right?

To those reporters out there... why are you keep asking 'How do you feel?' to the families of the victims? This question popped out everytime... What kind of answer are you guys expecting????

And then, another sensation for the closing of 2009. The lost of not one, but two engines of the airforce jets. What a joke... a thing that big can be stolen, or get lost? Those engines belonged to the military, people with highest security, I assume... People can steal from them? Something is terribly wrong somewhere... Small fish can steal something that big? I don't think so! All I want to say to these dishonest people, 'the small and the big fish'... you think you can become purely rich from stealing? Maybe financially yes, you can... but inside you're still so poor. Maybe you don't care if you're poor inside as long as you're financially rich. But, you can only not care while you're still breathing on earth. One day, you will be served with the truth...

2009 in my country didn't end so well, I would say.

Let's hope for a much better year in 2010.

So, Happy 2010 y'all. My wish to all of you... May all the success, happiness, bliss & love be yours.

An ending note, a quote from 'Ducky' of Navy: NCIS':
"An ethical person knows that he shouldn't steal but a moral person actually wouldn't"

Never sway away from moral values...

Have a great year! XOXO :)

Happy 2008 Y'all

Long time since I last posted here. Having a bit of writer's block... eh cewahhhh...

Anyways, wishing all of you a very happy 2008! Have you counted your 2007 blessings?

May all of us get what we wish for this year. Remember, if your wishes don't come true, it's always because there's a blessing in disguise. So, please be patient, pray hard and never lose hope. If you want gold, dig it. Quoting 'Anne of Green Gables'... 'It's not what the world holds for you, but what you bring to it'.

As for myself, I wish that I would just achieve all those resolutions that I brought forward from decades ago to 2008. Wish me luck!

All the best!

Here comes 2006…

New Year, does it actually have any meaning to you? New year, new resolutions… do you have any new year’s resolutions set for 2006? I know some people said ‘my new year’s resolutions are the same as last year’s. Well, I am one of those people *sigh*

So, there will be no new, New Year’s resolution for me. I’m still trying to achieve my targets for the previous 2 or 3 years. I’m so pathetic, I know. So, please provide me with a lot of motivation to get me going…

What are in your new year’s resolution list? Lose weight? Get married? Get promoted? Get a total makeover? What?

Mine would be… to lose weight of course. My project manager told me last night that I could use some exercise. Hmmm… that’s not the first indicator that I should shed a lot of KGs. Then today, my friend sent me a photo of me with her, God I look fat. Correction… God, I look so chubby (that sounds cuter, doesn’t it?) I look like a woman who has given birth to 2 or 3 babies. I hate that!

My second resolution is to learn to swim and be excellent at it, and third is to be able to converse daily in Mandarin. My current working environment requires this. I don’t want to feel left out and to laugh at jokes only because everybody else is laughing. I want to be able to understand what they are saying. I don’t want to feel stupid for the whole project duration. Isk… isk…

So, what do I do about it? Of course I did something. Can’t just complain and do nothing right? First, I enrolled in for a class for my second and third resolutions. My Mandarin class already started. Some Hanyu Pinyin’s words are hard to pronounce. My swimming class will start next week. I’ve already bought my swimming attire & a pair of goggles. I can’t wait to start. My project manager has a commercial diving license and another colleague have a diving license. I just might follow their footsteps. I’m so motivated!

Well, to lose weight, I’m afraid it’s up to my determination and willpower. This resolution has been in my list for years now. I haven’t been strong enough. I must make this happen this year. Hopefully this not so ugly duckling will turn into a gorgeous swan in 2006. Woohoooo…

Now that I make my resolutions public, why don’t you guys who have came across this post come back and check on me again at the end of 2006. See whether I’ve achieved all my resolutions or not. But pleaseee don’t be hard on me if I don’t, ok *wink*

So, to all of you readers out there, Happy New Year! Hopefully, 2006 will add more meaning to our lives. I wish you all success, love and happiness where ever you are.

HAPPY 2006 Y’ALL!!!

The Unsaid?

Ok... I know I named my blog 'saying the unsaid'. Meant to dedicate it for saying things I haven't been able or won't be able to express verbally. But, come on... there are also other interesting stuff I can write about right? There's always a need to express opinions, share ideas & excitements... letting go of frustrations. So, you may find that... occasionally there will be a mushy mushy sentimental post... but there will also be interesting stuffs here.

Just enjoy yourself. Your comments or commends are welcome. Be civilized ok. Have fun reading!
